Hi, I am Alyssa Janel

A passionate artist with a love of photography.

I have had a camera in my hand since I was able to. I was obsessed with disposable cameras and always brought them with me as a child. Every Christmas since the digital age of cameras, my parents would buy me some colorful camera to carry around. I even took photography classes where I got to work hands on with film. When I graduated High School my dad bought me my first ever DSLR camera and it created a whole new aspect to my love of cameras and photography.

My Philosophy

Photography is like a time capsule.

Photography can teleport you to a different time and place. Give you a different perspective on the past and how it relates to the present. Capturing people and places in time. A treasure for your future descendants to hold and admire.

It is important to have intention behind the photos. Whether its to hold on to a memory a little closer or to fill yourself with a confidence you need most.

“I’ve been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it, he meant you’re gold when you’re a kid, like green. When you’re a kid everything’s new, dawn. It’s just when you get used to everything that it’s day. Like the way you dig sunsets, Pony. That’s gold. Keep that way, it’s a good way to be.”
